PROVIDING REAL JOBS AND CREATING A LOCAL ECONOMY WHERE THERE WAS NONE
We’re excited to announce our newest mission through business enterprise, Kizigo Corn Mill. This enterprise provides jobs that pay a living wage to local workers, and enables farmers in the village to grow a cash crop on their land that was previously only used for subsistence farming. The ability to monetize their crops empowers families to participate in the marketplace in ways they could not before. Even if families don't have the money to send their children to school, Emmaus School, in connection with Omuto Uganda will accept corn in lieu of money for tuition. All this is made possible by our strategy of cooperation to empower villagers through economic development, education for their children, transforming lives - body, mind, and spirit.

We are creating an economy at the local level, where it has the greatest impact. We are giving people a chance at life and helping them improve their current conditions. By generating incremental opportunities for people who need a job, we are directly impacting the economic realities that contribute to social injustices and poverty.
