Marketplace Ministries Worldwide and Olive Branch International join forces.
In an effort to expand the ministry capabilities of Marketplace Ministries Worldwide (MMW), we have come to an agreement with Olive Branch International to become a part of the work they have been doing around the world.
For the past 25 years, the mission of OBI has been serving those who serve in the armed-forces around the world, providing educational, family support, and medical programs, hospital and military chaplain training, as well as humanitarian relief efforts in cooperation with civilian organizations. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in the U.S., operating as a NGO, OBI responds to invitations by foreign governmental and military leaders to provide humanitarian assistance worldwide. The mission of MMW is to infuse the Gospel into businesses around the world. This commercial platform for ministry allows MMW to share the love and message of Christ through business ventures in underdeveloped regions of the world. By creating jobs in regions of great scarcity, MMW endeavors to bring solutions to the problems of poverty, exploitation, and corruption by providing income opportunity, and ethical practices as part of our holistic mission, using business as its platform.
The absorption of MMW’s current mission through business enterprise into OBI’s existing humanitarian services to the international military community will create an organization with complementary capabilities and expand the reach of both ministries.
The OBI Board of Directors will assume responsibility and oversight of MMW, which will continue to operate as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Divine Pizza and Ribs, in Cambodia, and Divine Egg Project, in Mozambique will transition with MMW and function under the oversight of OBI. Origins: A Divine Coffeehouse in Haviland, Kansas, will continue its ministry as an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. MMW will maintain a working relationship with Origins.
